Fink meets Blues: here all the details about the artist’s new project

Fink, aka Fin Greenall, marks his return on the scenes with a new record titled “Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club, Vol.1“, released today (March 10). As deducible, the English producer and dj, has decided to approach for this project a genre that he has always loved but never experimented: Blues.

The album, recorded in Berlin, where the artist lives, has been produced and mixed by Flood (U2, PJ Harvey, Warpaint) and Fink himself. “Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club, Vol.1” came into the world as a side project in the meantime of the release of the upcoming 8th studio album, follower of the successful “Hard Believer” (2014) and “Horizontalism” (2015), that it’s scheduled later this year.

The idea for this record has its roots in Fink’s passion for blues and in a long creative process, started back in 2015, while touring across USA. During the production phase, each single track has been recorder live and in just one take, with a vintage microphone and amp, also thanks to David Shirley and Colin Stetson‘s help.

The album artwork and packaging have been designed by Sven (Editor of Lodown Magazine, Berlin) and Sacha, with photography and film captured and directed by long-term Fink collaborators Tommy N Lance.

“Fink’s Sunday Blues Club, Vol.1”, released via Ninja Tune, is anticipated by the single “Boneyard”, whose music video we show you below. The record will bring the artist on tour across Europe, between Uk, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.
